5. Shevat – Set up yourself up for the new year

Hi Friends, can you believe the new year is here and we are blessed and amazed at what God has done during this past year. Allow me to take this opportunity to thank each and every one for your support, love, prayers and encouragement to go deeper with Father. Thank you are all dear to my heart and I love you.
My prayer for you for this year, is to keep looking at things from above, and that the things of this world will grow strangely dim. That your heart and eyes will be focused on Heaven. I bless you.

Let’s jump right into the treasures for the month of Shevat, the fifth month in the Jewish civil calendar and the eleventh month on the religious calendar.
During the month of Shevat the Jewish people celebrate “the new year of the trees”. They celebrate 7 ‘trees’ – fig, barley, wheat, grape, date, olive and pomegranate, which are mentioned as already being in the Promised Land.

“For the LORD your God is bringing you into a good land, a land of brooks of water, of fountains and springs, flowing forth in valleys and hills; a land of wheat and barley, of vines and fig trees and pomegranates, a land of olive oil and honey; a land where you will eat food without scarcity, in which you will not lack anything; a land whose stones are iron, and out of whose hills you can dig copper.” Deuteronomy 8:7-9

Let us look at 7 lessons we can learn from the fig. During this month of Shevat we will be Declaring the Fig anointing!!

MIRACLES START FORMING IN YOUR DARK PLACES

In the last few months before spring the trees prepare to come out of hibernation. They start pushing sap into the roots of the tree, opening the roots up to absorb more water, which in turn causes sap and glucose to push up into the tree and branches, allowing the leaves and later fruit to appear.
This takes place in the quiet dark places of the soil quietly while nobody on the surface is aware of anything happening.

YOUR PORTION:

Don’t give up on your Promises and Miracles. You might give up right at the edge of your miracle and then never experience the fullness of it. God is working on your behalf even if you do not see it.

SEED LEADS TO ABUNDANCE

The Fig is technically not a fruit – they are inverted flowers. Fig trees don’t have blossoms like apple or peach trees. The flowers bloom on the inside of the pod which matures into the fruit we eat. So when we eat a fig, we are actually eating multiple fruits in one. These blossoms are the many crunchy seeds you taste on the inside of figs.
‘In that day,’ declares the LORD of hosts, ‘every one of you will invite his neighbor to sit under his vine and under his fig tree.'” Zechariah 3:10

Fig trees produce two crops each year. The first crop is eaten fresh, while the second crop is dried for winter.

YOUR PORTION:

The fragrance of your worship and your faithfulness and devotion to Father God leads you into your season of abundance. Prepare for the harvest and keep seed back to plant in your next season. The fragrance of your worship is shown from the inside out. Whatever you place in your heart you will give honor to.

RICHNESS

Mentioned over fifty times in Scripture, the fig tree was extremely important for both nutritional and economic reasons in ancient times. When everything was well in Israel and the people prospered, the Bible describes, “every man sitting under his own fig tree” (1 Kings 4:25).

YOUR PORTION:

I believe that in this season you ask Holy Spirit to show you all the avenues of the richness you can step into. Keep the vision in front of you, write it down, and keep it in plain sight. This will help you to not be distracted by the enemy into picking up rotten fruit that has fallen from the trees.

WAIT ON YOUR SEASON

The fruit only forms once the season has fully changed from winter to summer.  While many other fruit trees bear flowers before the cold winter is over, the Fig tree waits patiently for the turn of the season. It is the last tree to produce leaves.

YOUR PORTION:

Many of you have waited and waited and are at the edge of giving up on your fruit manifesting. I believe this is the season, the “2020 Era” God is calling forth the seasons of manifested fruit.

“Te enah” in Hebrew, means fig and “Kayiz” in Hebrew means, the harvest of fruits and is sometimes also used for the fig itself.
“Now learn the parable from the fig tree: when its branch has already become tender and puts forth its leaves, you know that summer is near;” Matthew 24:32

DON’T ALLOW SHAME TO TAKE YOU AWAY FROM ONENESS

Fig trees are the third tree mentioned in the bible after the tree of knowledge and the tree of life.
“When the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was desirable to make one wise, she took from its fruit and ate; and she gave also to her husband with her, and he ate. Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves loin coverings.” Genesis 3:6-7

When Adam and Eve sinned they used Fig leaves to cover up their shame. They exchanged Oneness with God for likeness of God.

YOUR PORTION:

Give up your efforts to cover your own shame, it will remain fruitless. Allow Jesus Christ’s sacrifice for you to bring you back into Oneness with Father God. Come back to the fruit of His sacrifice for you.

YOU ARE ALREADY QUALIFIED

When Jesus said to Nathanael I saw you under the fig tree before Phillip called you, Jesus implied that He saw Nathanael’s heart and that he was already deemed to be qualified for the task ahead.

Nathanael said to Jesus, “How do You know [these things about] me?” Jesus answered, “Before Philip called you, when you were still under the fig tree, I saw you.” John 1:48

YOUR PORTION:

Just like Nathanael you are qualified and already possess everything inside you that is needed to fulfill your purpose in this next season. Choose to step into it.

HEALING

Because of Hezekiah’s faithfulness and absolute devotion, God heard his prayers and God himself strengthened him. They used Fig cakes to apply to the inflamed spot.
“…and said, “Please, O Lord, just remember how I have walked before You in faithfulness and truth, and with a whole heart [absolutely devoted to You], and have done what is good in Your sight.” And Hezekiah wept greatly.” Isaiah 38:3
““Go and say to Hezekiah, ‘For the Lord, the God of David your father says this, “I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears; listen carefully, I will add fifteen years to your life.” Isaiah 38:3
“Now Isaiah had said, “Have them take a cake of figs and rub it [as an ointment] on the inflamed spot, that he may recover.”” Isaiah 38:21

YOUR PORTION:

We declare that Seven is the Number of Completion and that in this month the season has already changed, that everything we need to succeed in the next year has already been completed. Our spirits will awaken to the truth of this completion in our lives. As we consume the fruit of this season that will bring forth Miracles, Abundance, Richness, Healing, Oneness with Father God, Jesus Christ and Holy Spirit, new seed for new harvests and we declare that we are already qualified to FINISH WELL!

Many Blessings
