3. Pillars of Rest – Intimacy part 2

We are continuing the second part of Intimacy. If you would like to read part one click here: Pillars of Rest – Intimacy part 1

The gaze.

The word behold appears more than 1000 times in scripture.

In the Bible, the word “behold” is usually the translation of the Hebrew word הנה (hinneh, Strong’s #2009) in the Old Testament and the Greek word ιδου (idou, Strong’s #2400) in the New Testament. Both the Hebrew and Greek words mean “look” or “see.”

There’s a song we use to sing, I do believe many still sing it, “Turn your eyes upon Jesus” – here’s a verse of the song.

Turn your eyes upon Jesus
Look full in his wonderful face
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim
In the light of his glory and grace

When we can gaze upon Him, the gaze is focused on His eyes, love, heartbeat, embrace etc. nothing else around you can come into your focus, while you behold Him.

My darling, you are so lovely!
You are beauty itself to me.
Your passionate eyes are like gentle doves.
Song of Solomon 1:15 TPT

Some characteristics of Doves.

  • Doves have binocular vision, they can only focus on one thing at a time.
  • Doves are monogamous
  • They are relatively a private bird when it comes to intimacy.

Watching dove’s mate are amazing, they synchronize their movements, as the one moves the other moves. Not only do I view the word behold as in looking upon, but to behold = HOLD. Holding Him in your inner man. Holding His heartbeat in your heartbeat. When you understand how frequencies work then you can also understand the synchronizing of hearts. If you have a lower and a higher frequency vibrating at the same time then the lower frequency has two options, either come up and vibrate at the same rate or it explodes. Think of an opera singer and a crystal glass, when she pitches a note higher than the frequency of the glass it shatters.

In the same manner when we behold His heart, we synchronize our lower frequency to His higher frequency. The choice here for us would be to resonate with the lower frequency of the earth, our trauma, triggers, problems, stress etc. or we can remain in intimacy, in the beholding of His heartbeat, and come up higher.

  • We must have eyes like a dove only on our beloved Yeshua. She moves when He moves, she does what she sees Him do.
  • She does not turn or get distracted; He is the only one she sees.
  • Don’t waver or turn from your purpose.

He sees everything with pure understanding.
    How beautiful his insights—without distortion.
His eyes rest upon the fullness of the river of revelation,
flowing so clean and pure. Song of Solomon 5:12 TPT

“His eyes are like doves
Beside streams of water,
Bathed in milk
And reposed in their setting.
Song of Solomon 5:12 AMP

Perception of His gaze

  • He has eyes only for you, you are His everything the one He longs after.
  • There’s nothing wrong with His eyesight. There’s something wrong with our perception of His eyesight.

Before my wedding day I clearly heard the Holy Spirit say: unless you learn to receive well you will not be able to give well. This was connected to how I see myself, love myself, accept myself etc. unless I learn to love me, I cannot give pure love to my husband.

Until we enter the full understanding that Christ as our bridegroom, is passionately in love with us, we won’t be able to receive His intimacy of love, nor love deeply Him or others.

He calls you, His beloved… BE LOVED! BE LOVED!

But my dove, my perfect one, stands alone [above them all];
She is her mother’s only daughter;
She is the pure child of the one who bore her.
The maidens saw her and called her blessed and happy,
The queens and the concubines also, and they praised her, saying,
Song of Solomon 6:9

She is the only one, the favorite, lavished upon by all who love her.

Yes, you are my darling companion.
You stand out from all the rest.

For though the thorns surround you,
you remain as pure as a lily,
more than all others.
Song of Solomon 2:2

She is the choice flower in the garden. Because we are all unique, one of a kind, we can all say with confidence “I am His favorite”

And in love He chose us before He laid the foundation of the universe! Because of his great love, He ordained us, so that we would be seen as holy in His eyes with an unstained innocence. Ephesians 1:4 TPT

According to this scripture, He chose you at the foundation of the universe, you were chosen way before you were born. His gaze upon you is with unstained innocence. When you allow yourself to be seen at that moment of creation you will realize that you are already new.

Moreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you, and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. Ezekiel 36:26

He has removed your old heart and gave you a new one. When you learn how to love from your new heart, you learn to love well and give well.

Hovering

The wing of a dove creates an upside-down C while it’s hovering. This shape of the doves’ wings can be seen as the same Hebrew letter Kaf. To have a deeper understanding of the connection between the Hebrew Letter Kaf and the wings of a Dove we need to look deeper into the understanding of this Letter.

The Hebrew Letter looks like a backward C. When Priests and Kings were anointed, the oil was poured over their heads. Scripture said that the oil ran down Aaron’s beard. That would mean the oil would have been from ear to ear, forming the shape of an upside-down C.

Classical Hebrew script is constructed of a bend line that looks like the crown of a King. The crown representing the anointing of a King.

The Pictograph for the modern letter Kaf is an open hand, it signifies giving freely with the palm up or covering sin with the palm down. It also has the numerical value of 20 – the number represents Redemption.

This reminds me of Jesus’s baptism, Holy Spirit descended upon him as a dove. Hovering over him like the Letter Kaf represents. Crowning Him as King and the one to bring Redemption to His bride, the Spirit was with Jesus from that point on.

After Jesus was baptized, He came up immediately out of the water; and behold, the heavens were opened, and he (John) saw the Spirit of God descending as a dove and lighting on Him (Jesus), Matthew 3:16

We see doves as a representation of Holy Spirit. I would say that it would then represent your spirit as much as Holy Spirit. After the baptism the heavens opened and therefore, we all walk under an open heaven because Jesus as firstborn led the way. When you realize the open heaven, you are walking under you will be aware of the direct connection through Spirit with our Beloved.

Intimacy is allowing Him to hover over your heart, revealing His heart of love to you. We walk heaven on earth because we are resonating His heart to the frequency of the earth synchronizing earth frequency with heaven.

My prayer is that you will awaken to a deeper knowledge of intimacy with your beloved.

GAZE! BEHOLD! HOVER!
